IllinoisCAN Newsletter Submission

The monthly IllinoisCAN newsletter is a way to share news and for IllinoisCAN members to let others know what’s happening at their organizations.

If your organization has big news to share, was recently featured in the news, or is hiring, we want to help you spread the word!

Please consider the following guidelines for newsletter submissions:

  • Information must be relevant and useful to the IllinoisCAN membership (e.g., school counselors, community-based organizations, college access advocates, postsecondary student services professionals, etc.) and the students they serve.
  • Consider submitting announcements, news, event invitations, requests (such as best practices, partnership, collaboration), links and descriptions of new research reports and other relevant publications.
  • Keep submissions succinct (200 words or fewer).
  • Provide contact information and/or links to websites where readers can get more information.
  • Include pertinent dates and locations (e.g., application deadlines, program dates).
  • Submit your news by the end of the last day of the month to have it included in the following month’s newsletter.
  • Please note that the IllinoisCAN newsletter cannot accept submissions that are for the purpose of sales/revenue generation.
